Privacy Policy

Effective: April 2026 · Last updated: May 2026

Mysachar is an Israeli salary calculator that runs entirely in your browser. We aim to collect as little data as possible while keeping the calculator useful.

Data Controller and contact

This site is operated by Kirill Rotanov, who is the Data Controller responsible for any personal data processed in connection with the site. For privacy questions or to exercise the rights described below, contact mysachar@gmail.com.

What we collect

Anonymized analytics (opt-in only). If you click Accept on the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which features get used. No name, email, or salary data is sent — Google receives only standard browser metadata (page URL, language, screen size, referrer) and an anonymized visitor ID.

Calculator inputs stay local. Salary, family status, and any other field you enter into the calculator stays in your browser's memory. We never send it anywhere. Closing the tab clears it.

Cookies and local storage

The site uses two first-party storage entries that don't leave your browser:

  • mysachar:theme:v2 — your light/dark theme preference
  • mysachar:lang:v1 — your language preference

If you accept analytics, Google Analytics also sets cookies (typically _ga, _ga_W9QZ0GDD7L) under their own privacy policy to count unique visits.

Data retention

Google Analytics retains anonymized event data for 14 months from a visitor's last activity, after which it is automatically deleted. Local-storage entries (theme, language) persist in your browser until you clear them.

International data transfers

Google Analytics is operated by Google LLC (United States) and Google Ireland Limited. If you accept analytics, your anonymized data may be processed on Google infrastructure outside Israel and the European Economic Area. Google participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and applies Standard Contractual Clauses for cross-border transfers — these safeguards apply automatically to the transfer.

Your rights

Under Israeli privacy law (חוק הגנת הפרטיות) and the EU GDPR (where applicable), you have the right to:

  • Access any personal data we hold about you. We don't have personally-identifying data on you — there is nothing for us to disclose.
  • Rectification of inaccurate data. Same as above — no personal record of you is kept on our side.
  • Erasure ("right to be forgotten"). Clear your browser's storage for this site to remove all local data; anonymized Google Analytics records can be deleted on request to Google.
  • Restriction or objection to processing. Click Decline on the consent banner, or clear your storage and reload to revisit the choice.
  • Data portability. We hold no portable data about you.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out lawfully before withdrawal.

To opt out of Google Analytics globally on every site you visit, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on.

Filing a complaint

If you believe your privacy rights have been violated, you may file a complaint with the relevant authority:

  • Israel: Privacy Protection Authority (הרשות להגנת הפרטיות) — gov.il
  • European Union: your national data protection authority
  • Other jurisdictions: your local equivalent

What we don't do

  • No user accounts.
  • No advertising cookies (today).
  • No selling or sharing of data with anyone outside Google Analytics.
  • No server-side storage of calculator inputs or results.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we'll update the "Last updated" date and the consent banner will reappear so you can re-decide.
